Paysafecard

Paysafecard is a slightly different payment method to other modern methods. Instead of working as an e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller, it is a prepaid card. It can almost be described as a voucher that you use to deposit funds to a casino. Originally this meant that players were unable to make withdrawals using the service, but in 2015 this changed when a new service was launched offering withdrawal services through Paysafecard. However, at this moment in time Indian players don’t have access to the withdrawal service.

Despite being one of the lesser known payment options on the market, they have been running for almost 20 years and have a wealth of experience within the industry.

What does Paysafecard offer?

Paysafecard is a payment method that is aimed purely at keeping your personal details safe and allowing players to make payments easily. It works by signing up to a Paysafecard account and then you can purchase vouchers, which are basically a code that stores how much money you want to deposit. These vouchers can be used for a variety of different purchases online, but because the code is linked to the value of the card, but not the payment method you used to buy it, your personal details are kept completely safe.

Signing up with Paysafecard

Not all casinos offer Paysafecard as a payment option, but if they do making a payment is very easy. All you need to do is go to your deposit screen as you normally would, click on the Paysafecard logo and then enter the code that you were given. Once you’ve done that, your deposit will be made and you can start playing your favourite casino games.

Making a withdrawal is a relatively new service with Paysafecard. Originally a withdrawal would need to be made to a different payment method. However, in 2015 Paysafecard launched a withdrawal service unfortunately for Indian players withdrawals cannot be made with Paysafecard yet. However, if there are any funds left on the card after making a deposit they can be transferred to your bank account.

Positives

The positives of Paysafecard are numerous but the main one is the complete security that’s in place. Because your bank details and personal information aren’t associated with the account at all it means that you are completely safe from any form of fraud or attack. Another benefit is the speed that deposits are made. Players will literally have access to their funds at the casino within seconds.

There are also lower fees associated with using Paysafecard which helps players to keep their costs down when making deposits and withdrawals.

Negatives

The negatives for Paysafecard are a little bit different to e-wallets. The first negative is a similar issue that they suffer though. Not all casinos support Paysafecard which means that players might not be able to use it at their chosen casino. On top of this the withdrawal system that Paysafecard have in place isn’t supported for Indian players, even at casinos that allow Paysafecard deposits. A final issue is that if you want to deposit more than what is on the card you have, you can’t do it. This means that if you want to deposit more you will need to purchase another card.

How safe is your information?

Paysafecard is incredibly safe. It’s actually the safest payment method there is. If you are able to use Paysafecard at your casino of choice then you can rest assured that your personal and banking information are completely secure. This is because the payment method you use to buy the Paysafe card isn’t linked to the card itself. It means that even if a hacker is able to get into the system, they cannot gain access to your information because it isn’t there to be accessed.

Should you use Paysafecard?

This all depends on what you want from your payment method. If safety is your first concern then Paysafecard is definitely one of the very best choices out there. However, because not all casinos accept it, it does mean that you might not be able to use it at your casino of choice. It’s important to do your research beforehand and make sure that you can use certain payment methods at the casino you want to play at. It’s also important to remember that you can’t make withdrawals using Paysafecard if you’re an Indian player at this moment in time.

If Paysafecard is available at your chosen casino then it is a very safe choice, as the name suggests, and allows for fast deposits. The choice should ultimately rest on what you want from your payment method, so make sure you check over all the information before making a final choice.
